The Village School Middleton Church of England School, is a triving village school with some 85 pupils. Thanks to population trends in the village the roll has shrunk somewhat over the last few years, but it has provided an excellent education for most of the village children, within easy walking distance of most of their homes. The school has quite a large catchment area and acts as one of the feader schools for the Driffield School Recently the school, with a little help from parents constructed a conservation area in the corner of its playing field. Now almost two years on it is beginning to develop very nicely and all the initial hard work of planting is beginning to pay off. |
