Atom Seed Possibly my all time favourite band of all time, mate. That didn’t bloody stop them splitting up though, did it. I don’t want to talk about it. I do, but not with you. There are still a few copies of ‘Get In Line’ knocking about in record shops, so do yourself a big favour and buy one. I couldn’t find any Atom Seed sites anywhere, so if you do know of a good one tell me about it. I may even make my own. The Lost Tribe are still around somewhere, just a little more lost than before. Frighteningly talented former bass player, Chris Dale, now does his four string slapping thing in Sack Trick, who are also definitely worth a listen. |

Tampasm Tampasm are also an ex-band now, but it was great while it lasted. They were one of the most fun live bands I’ve ever seen. Don’t be fooled by the whole punk/metal thing, Tampasm were unashamed pop music at it’s best. Have a look at Paolo’s Tampasm site (big ta for the picture), and see what you missed. Visit his ‘Livepics’ site too. |

New Model Army My very first Top Of The Pops memory is NMA playing ‘No Rest’ live during the early ‘80’s. It obviously made an impression because I’ve been a fan ever since. If you want an introduction to the band you could do a lot worse than the new live album ‘...& Nobody Else’, which is the dogs, and contains a good selection of their stuff. Better still, go and see them on tour. Check tour dates and everything else at their official site newmodelarmy.org. |

Babes In Toyland Oh, they’ve split as well. There seems to be a pattern emerging here, could it be that I’m the Murray Walker of music. (For the benefit of Americans and other strange people, Murray Walker is a motorsport commentator with an uncanny ability to predict victory for drivers just before they crash. People have unkindly suggested that teams used to listen to Murray in the pits, and if he tipped their driver for victory, would retire to save having to repair a damaged car.) Go and buy any of their albums and see what Hole could have been if they’d tried harder. Alternatively, try visiting Real Eyes, the best of a huge bunch of fan sites. |

Charlie’s Angels Charlie’s Angels are the band for anyone that’s ever stood in front of a mirror and sung into a hairbrush. Buy their stuff from the lovely ORG records and bring some glitter to your otherwise drab existence. I couldn’t find a Charlie’s Angels site, way too many hits returned featuring Farrah Fawcett and friends. If anyone does find one, or better still knows what the true saviours of pop music are up to now, please let me know. |

Ezio Again, if it weren’t a friend’s band I probably wouldn’t have listened to them in the first place. But if you like your music a little less loud, and a little more intelligent, then the chances are that you will like Ezio. Find out more about Cambridgeshire’s finest at the Ezio Zone. |
