CHILD PROTECTION STATEMENT
Every Child or young person who participates in WTF Taekwondo should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse.
This is the responsibility of every adult involved with the Stoke UTA Taekwondo Club .
The Stoke UTA Taekwondo club and Staffordshire and Cheshire UTA Taekwondo clubs recognizes its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual and emotional harm and from neglect and bullying.
The club is determined to meet its obligation to ensure that all coaches, instructors and helpers within the Taekwondo group /club provide the highest possible standard of care.
The club will consider, after taking advice, whether anyone who has a previous criminal conviction or caution for offences related to abuse of children or young people, violence or any sexual offences should be excluded from working/training with the Stoke UTA Taekwondo Club or Staffordshire and Cheshire UTA Taekwondo clubs.
This position is reinforced by U.K. legislation and guidance.
