CLUB KIT

by Roger Biggs & Dave Major

by Roger Biggs & Dave Major

We have now decided on a kit (vest only) with a yellow strip under each arm. The printing on the back will be done to match this yellow strip. T-shirts will remain as fully royal blue, although the printing on the back will be yellow. We are expecting a full sample by early February. As soon as this is available, I’ll get the digital camera out, and send you all a copy, plus on the website!

We haven’t work out prices yet, but they are likely to be cheaper than previously quoted. Don’t worry if you have already paid some money, it’s all happily sitting in the bank vault.

Below is a photo of the sample running vest.

The printing on the back was slightly different to what I was expecting, but I personally like it.   We would like to get going on the kit, so please tell us if you like this, and if not, why not.

The sample actually had the word 'Wannabe' just below the club logo on the front, but I took this off for this picture. Discussions at the first committee meeting concluded that a 'wannabee' could be first claim, and hence would need to wear the club kit. As becoming a full member should be a prized possession, then we decided that 'wannabee' should be added to any kit that the person races in.

 This begs 2 questions.
1) Note that the sample had 'wannabe'  (one 'e' at the end). I actually prefer this, what do you think?
2) Where should 'wannabe' or 'wannabee' be printed?

Sorry, a lot of words about 'wannabee/wannabe', when the most important  thing is your opinions on the overall colour and printing.

As I'm away, please send any comments to Tad at tad_sjl@yahoo.co.uk
