Unique windows for every situation

Copper ties in place

After the window is cleaned up, on larger jobs lengths of copper wire are soldered on to the leads. These  copper ties will be used to hold the window against iron bars set in to the stonework, adding extra strength against the elements.

The last lap. Removing the old window can be a slow and painstaking process, making sure the stone is not damaged as I chisel out the old, often extremely hard, mortar which held it in place and kept it waterproof.

The channels are clear for the new window, which should slot in, to be tied to the bars and mortared in place.
