Todays match was an even affair except for Rushford in goal for Primrose who gifted at least two of the three goals to the home side.

The first half, played almost entirely in a rain storm was fairly evenly balanced, Gary Osborne should have scored for the Primrose when he was through with just the keeper to beat but managed to put the ball just wide.

It looked destined to be goaless at half time but a cross for Penicuik was punched clear by Rushford in the Primrose goal only as far as Ure (I think!) who volleyed in from 12 yards through the Primrose defence into the back of the net.

The second half was again fairly balanced until midway through Rushford came storming out of his box and instead of clearing to touch just humped it up the park to Auld who hit a cracking lob over the rapidly back peddling keeper for Penicuik's number 2. A temporary blip by the keeper? No he did the same again 5 minutes later. However, the lob this time went by his post by a few inches.

Five minutes from time another cross was badly handled by the Primrose keeper who managed to parry the ball onto the head of Craig Dick who nodded home the easiest of goals.

Even an indirect free kick inside the Penicuik box in the last minute couldn't help the Primrose get on the score sheet.
