The signs were ominous for the Primrose before the game even started when a single magpie was spotted perched on the home teams dugout just before kick off.
The Primrose started the better of the two teams and created a number of chances to go in front in the first twenty minutes but failed to capitalise on any of then, with Stuart Foster missing the best chance in front of the YM goal.
The game turnes into a stormy encounter and the match was marred by some over the top tackling from the Kirkcaldy team, which went unpunished for long spells.
Craig Nicholson and Gary Braid received early baths along with a Kirkcaldy player, who also had their manager David Sheach sent off when the team's dugout invaded the pitch over the referees' decision that went against them!
Liam Baillie produced a well-taken hat trick to take the points back to Kirkcaldy, which they probably deserved on the day.
