A cross field ball from Sibanda 5 minutes into the game was met at the edge of the box, on the volley, by Douglas Jay. The shot screamed into the Primrose goal, game over, Crossgates never really recovered from the shock.

The second half produced three more goals, David Welsh got in at the back post to nod in a Campbell corner to put Newburgh 2 up, minutes later and Black got one back for Crossgates when he reacted first to a spilled ball to score his tenth goal of the season.

David Welsh got his second with around ten minutes to go, a well struck 20 yard shot that got through the Primrose defence and left the keeper rooted to his line.
