With the defection of management team Wilcox and Kelly to Kelty Hearts at the beginning of the year and with the swap deal of Ross Millar to Kelty for Willie Herd todays match always promised much and it didn't disappoint.

Unfortunately I only saw the first 15 minutes before having to take Matthew Sykes to hospital to recieve stitches in his left leg sustained in a shocking tackle. Get well soon Matty.

Anyway this is the taken from Monday's Evening Telegraph

There were two shocks in the Fife League card, with Lochgelly Albert and Crossgates coming out on top against title hopefuls Lochore Welfare and Kelty Hearts respectively.

The bigger of the two surprises was at Central Park where Crossgates thoroughly merited their 3-1 win over Kelty.

Confirming this, Hearts boss Davie Wilcox said "I knew my old team would be up for it and they showed the application and hunger that we lacked to thoroughly deserve their win."

Primrose opened the scoring after 20 minutes through Gary Osborne from a chance created by Willie Herd, making his debut against his former club.

Lee Black added a second and Scott Ross the third, shortly after Stefan Winiarski saw yellow for a second time to reduce the home side's ranks to 10 men.

A late Dennis Currie goal was of mere consolation value in a disappointing Hearts performance.
