Like so many games already this season the Primrose got off to a terrible start, with the look of a team that were playing together for the first time, infact with the first break of the game Lochgelly hit the bar and it only took 5 minutes for them to get the first goal when McBain got on the end of a cross to head the home team ahead.

Crossgates eventually started to make inroads into the game but still looked a bit shaky at the back and as tempers flared it looked like they could quite easily self destruct. Then all of a sudden they just clicked, Gregg Robertson picked up the ball in his own half and ran, he must have beaten at least 7 players before cooly stroking the ball past the out stretched McMaihin.

Lochgelly restarted the game, lost the ball and Gareth Hall ran up thr right, released the ball to Mike Brown who weighted the ball perfectly to Boardman who finished superbly from 12 yards.

The Primrose had a few more chances in the half but just before the end of the half a Lochgelly free kick was well struck and young Horn in the Primrose goal pulled off a fine save, turning the ball around the post.

The second half was pretty much the same with either team creating chances with the Primrose probably making a few more. The closest either team came was Lochgelly when again Horn pulled of a fantastic save, diving full stretch to his right to stop a low, well hit ball.

Over the piece the Primrose probably deserved the win but if they don't start getting into the groove a bit quicker we may find a few games over before we've got started. From a spectators point of view the old ticker takes a bit of strain when a game is played like this.
