Crossgates were under the cosh today from the kick off and in five minutes Gareth Blackadder had a snap shot that snuck over the Primrose bar.

Five minutes later and Sean Graham got a shot on target that Houston in the Primrose goal had to deal with.

It took twenty minutes before the Primrose had any decent shot and it fell to Gary Osborne who struck it well after a break down the right but the curl on the shot took it past the Kelty post.

After this it was all Kelty. On twenty five minutes new Kelty signing Currie took a free kick from the edge of the 18 yard box around two yards from the goal line. His shot curled in high and struck the cross bar.

32 minutes in and Sean Graham hit a low volley from the edge of the box that shot through the Crossgates defence and left Houston no chance.

On 45 minutes Blackadder made it two when he got on the end of a cross and was able to knock it in at the left hand post.

The second half was much of the same. Crossgates tried but just couldn't break through the Kelty defence, Kelty over ran the Primrose defence but didn't manage to add any more goals. Black, Thompson and Ross came on for Osborne, Deans and Patrick and although Thomson and Black made inroads they came on too late to make the difference.

The ref tried to keep the game flowing and took the option to talk to the players and only giving out yellow cards as a last resort, the Primrose manager however was sent from the dug out after protesting too vehemently for the referees liking.
