A scrappy game that produced lots of goals but not much classy football.

Ballingry opened the scoring in 5 minutes when Barry McMahon scrambled the ball over the line after a melee in the six yard box.

On 9 minutes the Primrose got a corner which was whipped in by Boardman, Ballingry player Davies got his head to it but only managed to steer it into his own goal.

Two minutes later and Ballingry were ahead again when Doig got on the end of a cross when no-one picked him up at the back post.

The Primrose went in at half time 3-2 ahead after a fine brace from Boardman who twice got the ball past a defender and scored, the second was a particulary fine goal that was bent round the keeper from the edge of the box, The ref blowing for time as soon as the game restarted.

Ballingry had the Primrose under the cosh for the first 10 minutes of the second half and seemed to be getting back in when Ballingry got a free kick at the edge of the pitch 30 yards out. The ref had his hand up for an indirect free kick but when the ball somehow made it through everyone, without being touched, and ended up in the net the visitors were shocked when he let it stand.

Around half a hour into the half and another defensive blunder by the Primrose againlet Doig in at the back post to make it 4-3 to Ballingry.

10 minutes from time, ex Primrose player Sykes brought down Hall in the box and Mike Brown levelled the game from the spot.

A fair result in a game that neither team really deserved to win.
