Todays match took place on a very windy Haddington pitch which made good football tricky.

Eight minutes into the match and James Lakie passed a nice long ball to Ross Duncan who put over a good cross which Gary Osborne managed to get the head too but unfortunately it went just over the bar.

Three minutes later and it was Houston in the Primrose goal who was called upon to touch a shot round the post. This was the start of a hard push by Haddington and Finlayson came close with a header and Ormiston brought another good save out of Houston.

On the half hour Crossgates took the lead when Osborne broke through the defence before laying an pass off to Ross Duncan who picked out Lee Black who scored his 4th goal in three games for the Primrose.

The second half started with the Primrose kicking with the wind and 6 minutes in Gary Osborne broke through and shot. The keeper saved it and Black running in netted the rebound but the referee chalked it off as offside.

Two minutes later and Haddington rattled the Primrose bar from a corner and a few minutes later it was Primrose with a corner that ended with the ball scraping over the top of the bar.

14 minutes into the second half and Haddington were awarded a corner. This was taken by Kevin Mitchell who's in swinger somehow managed to find its way into the Primrose goal despite there being a couple players at the post.

On 21 minutes Houston's kick out caught the wind and Gary Osborne got on the end of it and deftly chipped the keeper. I'd not even finished typing a text out to my son when it was level again when Finlayson shot through the Primrose defence for the equaliser.

Then about five minutes from time Mitchell put the home side ahead for the first time in the game when he also hit a shot throught the defence which again they seemed unable or unwilling to stop.

Another utterly unconvincing performance from the Primrose. They promise so much but just can't seem to keep it together for 90 minutes.
