This was a typical hard fought local derby, cup-tie with Recs. Recording their first win at Humbug Park in four years. Primrose had a trialist goalkeeper in place of Colin Rushford and a misunderstanding between the keeper and captain Ross Millar resulted in the Recs. Centre scoring directly from Recs. keeper  Davie McNeely clearance.
Primrose equalised when James Lakie sent over an inch perfect cross from the half way line to the head of Stuart Foster to score, but the Roses glory was short lived when Rosyth regained the lead within two minutes from a corner kick when the Primrose failed to clear. Rosyth went further ahead when the trial keeper failed to cut out a cross from the left.
The Primrose fought hard and their efforts were rewarded when Gordon Wilcox heeled the ball into the Recs. net with ten minutes to go setting up a nail biting finish. James Lakie scored a goal in injury time but the referee ruled that he had handled the ball much to the relief of the Rosyth Recs. players and managers.

On a personal note this was the first Primrose match watched by Scott and his son Rory.
