A poor poor game from a spectators point of view, especially if you were from Crossgates.

The Primrose started off sprightly enough with Gareth Hall forcing the keeper to tip a fine shot over the bar but the highlight of the half was a fine catch by McKenzie behind the visitors goal from a wayward Kirkcaldy shot, surely it won't be long until he get a trial between the sticks!

Both teams had chances but they were all fairly long range efforts with no real penetration until a minute from the end of the half when a free kick from the right missed all the Kirkcaldy team only fof Hall to stick the ball in his own goal.

The second half was only 8 minutes old when Kirkcaldy were 2 up, this time it was Ravenscroft who provided the own goal.

22 minutes in and Boardman took a free kick from the corner of the box which he bent around the wall and the keeper was unable to hold. The pressure was short lived and within 2 minutes another defensive mix up restored Kirkcaldys two goal cushion.

Crossgates pressed towards the end and were rewarded with a penalty when McKenzie was brought down in the box. Boardman scored from the spot but the ref blew for time a few short minutes later.
