Crossgates got off to a terrible start when the referee gave the softest of penalties which Grant Fraser tucked neatly into the Bottom right corner of the goal.

It took the Primrose 30 minutes to get level but it was a well worked goal. Mike Brown got the ball on the edge of the box and spun round and slotted it through too Graeme "Dixie" Deans who finished well with a first time shot with his left foot.

On 40 minutes Fraser got his second when a long ball found him in a totally offside position that only the referee never saw and again he beat Shepherd in the one on one that ensued, by my tally thats 7 goals that Fraser has put past the Primrose this year. It could have been 8 but although the ref again missed the blatant offside Steve Patrick got back and did enough to put him off.

A couple minutes before the end of the half Grant Laing picked up the ball on the edge of the box and spun round and shot low and hard into the goal.

The second half produced chances for both sides, Newburgh hit the bar and Mike Brown saw a shot narrowly go past he post.

In the dying seconds Gary Osborne picked up a second yellow for protesting when the referee picked him up for being offside.
