A good game with the home side having a bit more of the game.

The best effort for the visitors came late in the second half and Smith in the goal for the Primrose dived low to his left and saved brilliantly to keep Primrose in the game.

The best effort from the home team came a few minutes later when sub Gary Osborne hit a superb curling lob from the edge of the box, beating the keeper but hitting the bar.

Subs for Crossgates were Osborne for Bristow, Stephens for Sykes and Patrick for Deans.

Subs for Edinburgh United were Wilson for Porteous, Greenhill for Ford and Millar for Crawford
