Two goals, one in either half, both from set pieces gave Glenrothes the tie.

The came close twice, early on. One a long range effort that brought a good save from young Stevie Horn and the other an easy header at the back that was nodded wide.

Boardman came close for the home team but a fine save by Guppy denied him the goal.

1 minute before the end of the half and a Glens corner saw Dickson slip his marker and head home unchallenged.

The second half saw both teams attacking but everything breaking down before either 18 yard box until around midway through the half when John Ferguson got in at the back post to stroke a free kick cross home.

5 minutes later and the bad day continued for the Primrose when Neil Ferguson wa taken to hospital with a shoulder injury.

10 minutes from time a rocket header from Roberston brought another good save from Guppy and the rebounded shot was blocked on the line.

Not a great performance by the Primrose but against super league opposition we were certainly not disgraced.
