A dissappointing Primrose performance that continued their poor recent run, what is it with Ballingry and Crossgates! Ballingry's first game in junior football - Crossgates, first point in Junior Football - Crossgates and now first win in Junior Football - Crossgates!!!

The pitch was heavy after all the recent rain and it showed in the quality of football on display today, however Ballingry seemed to want it more and Crossgates failed to get stuck into many challenges.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half when Alan Moody got his head to a cross from the left which beat the Primrose keeper.

A fine solo goal by defender James Lakie equalised just before the end of the half when he picked the ball up on the edge of the box and hit a fine shot after beating three defenders.

Both teams made changes at half time and it was Primrose that came out of the blocks first with Matt Sykes coming close from the edge of the box, however Laing and Lakie both came of injured and Ballingry picked up two rapid fire goals with around 20 minutes to go. The first was a goal mouth melee that eventually went in off Primrose defender McKenzie with what was probably his first touch of the game and the second was by Bristow.
