Tonight started badly off the pitch when the primrose turned up without water bottles, a goalies kit, flag and physio bag and unfortunately things on the pitch didn't fair any better.

5 minutes in and Stuart Fosters shot for the Primrose was cleared to Neil McLeod who came close with a long range effort and apart from another McLeod effort near the end when his header from a corner went just wide the Primrose were never really in it.

40 minutes into the first half and it looked like being a repeat perfromance of Saturdays game until a mix up in defence let Edinburgh United player Stuart Malcolm get a shot in that seemed to go off the post in slow motion before striking Primrose keeper Smith who was running back and going in.

1 minute into the second half and Brian Ford had made it 2 for the home side. Crossgates were chasing the game from here on and were lucky not to get picked off a few more times before the end of the game.

Gary Osborne got injured and had to go off 10 minutes from time leaving the Primrose a man down. Thanks to the Edinburgh physio who bailed us out tonight with us not having our kit, it was appreciated.

Primrose:

Ref: Mr. John Binnie** Thought it was a nothing game so refused to gee up the Edinburgh side when they dragged their heels. Not that it would have mattered the way we played.
