Primrose got off to a flyer when ex Recs player Boardman beat the offside and lobbed the keeper from 20 yards out in the first minute of the game.

Both teams created some chances but a shocking decision from the referee gifted a penalty to Rosyth on the half hour match when Ravenscroft, who clearly got the ball, was judged to have fouled in the box. McGeorge scored from the resulting penalty.

Rosyth finished the half ona high when Reynolds looked up from 20 yards out and hit a snap shot low into the left hand corner of the goal, totally catching young Horn in the Primrose goal out.

Half time 2 - 1.

Again it was the Primrose that started the half quickly and within 5 minutes of the restart were level. Raymond Brown made a good run into the box and his shot was charged down and the referee decreed that hands had been used. Mike Brown saw his shot saved but reacted first to score the rebound.

Rosyth had the most of the later play and with ten minutes to go Smart reacted first to a loose ball, following a corner and scored what turned out to be the winner.

Final score 3 -2.
