Primrose got off to a flyer when Steve Patrick fired in a volley from outside the
box that Melia just couldn't keep out of his goal. The rest of the first half
belonged to Crossgates, who should have went in at the interval 3 or 4 up. Second half was a different story. The Primrose were all over the place and showed no continuity. They gifted Newburgh's Grant Fraser two goals and never came close to coming back into the game. Very frustrating to watch. Very disappointing match. 'Nuff said. Primrose: Trialist, Hobbs, Morris, Millar, Lakie, Laing, Ash, Sykes, Osborne, Deans, Patrick Subs: Trialist, Wilcox Newburgh: Melia, Adair, Forsyth, Milne, Soutar, Reilly, Sibanda, Jay, Fraser, Johnson, Campbell Subs: Warner, Donaldson, Grant, Reilly Ref: Mr. Michael Gill Man of the match: Grant Laing, ran his heart out, again. |
