Crossgates played a scrappy game today and threw away a 1 goal lead allowing Ballingry
to pick up their first points in Junior football when Brian Duffy got the
equaliser. The Primrose goal came 30 minutes into the game. Some good work up the right wing by Deans released Gary Osborne who made the by-line before hitting an inch perfect cross that was met on the volley by Lee Black who took his tally of goals to 6 in 5 matches. For the fourth or fifth time this season the Primrose started the second half like an entirely different team that played the first and allowed Ballingry to get back into the game. Steven Patrick came close for the Primrose but his header cleared the bar. 75 minutes in and a Ballingry shot beat Houston in the Primrose, it hit the post, shot accross the goal and with the defense left flat footed Brian Duffy was able to blast the ball into the net for the equaliser. A late blast over the bar from Matty Sykes would have won the game for the Primrose after Gary Osborne had finally beat the Ballingry offside trap. Primrose: Houston, Morris, Westgarth, Millar, Duncan, Laing, Ash, Black, Osborne, Deans, Patrick Subs: Sykes, Thomson, Hobbs Ballingry Rovers: Curran, Hutt, Nicholson, Davies, McKean, Duffy, Moody, Ford, Breckenridge, Heggie, Frew Subs: Dochard, Saunders, Balfour, McInroy Ref: K.
