A difficult game today in really muddy conditions, I found it hard to walk over the
pitch to bring the nets in so I don't know how the players managed so well. The game was pretty good but spoilt for me by some really iffy refereeing but don't get me started! Anyway back to the football. Lochgelly went ahead after a cross from the left, once again Primrose failed to clear the danger, just get it away from the danger area guys don't worry about finesse. Sorry I digress, after some really good play Primrose levelled the score through Reon Juskowiak. The Primrose then kept up this good play early into the second half but missed two sitters in the first 5 minutes. Lochgelly then broke against the run of play and their pace (which was impressive in the conditions) got passed the Primrose defence who once again failed to deal with a cross (Really guys just boot it away!!!!) Shortly after this goal the ref gave a really soft penalty, and I'm really impartial honest. The Lochgelly guy was even laughing when it was given!! Anyway that was 3 - 1. The Primrose never really got back into the game from here and Lochgelly once again caught us on the break although if the keeper had ran to the ball instead of backing to his line then he might have prevented it. In the end the game didn't matter to the Primrose as they were already out of this cup but they really put some good moves together today, played well as a team and had some fine individual performances too. The score flattered Lochgelly who just about deserved the victory however I'm not a sore loser so good luck next week in the Scottish Cup guys. |
