| Front mount intercooler conversion | by Foura |
This is a guide to fitting a front mount intercooler into the Fiat Coupe. The front mount unit replaces the small standard fiat intercooler and sits ahead of the main radiator. The intercooler itself is available from Forge Motorsport. The existing intecooler is removed to make space for the piping. |

The oulet of the turbo compressor is fed to the left hand side of the intercooler via silicon hoses and aluminium piping. To do this a small section of the plastic undertray needs to be cut out to let the turbo pipe exit through and to the side of the intercooler. The blue pipe in the centre of the image is the silicon house connected to the turbo compressor outlet. |
|
The outlet of the intercooler then connects, again via silicon hoses and alloy tubing, up to the original plastic link pipe before the throttle body... |
|
...and that is it. At
first glance it seems complicated but is really quite simple and can be done by anyone who
has a little technical knowledge and experience (Augusta Bell 205 engineer here). |
