Raploch QuarryEarly 20th Century
Raploch Quarry was flooded in the last quarter of the ninteenth century. It remained unused for many years before being drained and brought back into operation again. It flooded a second time, was abandoned as a quarry and used as a landfill tip before being filled and grassed over to become the Quarry Park. It is now under the recent western by-pass and its initial roundabout next to the present fire station. |
