From Aberfoyle the Inversnaid road soon comes to Loch Ard, a charming lake surrounded by wooded slopes above which towers the peak of Ben Lomond. The road ascends the Pass of Aberfoyle, on the northern shore of the loch, and skirts the even more romantic Loch Chon, before joining the road which links Loch Lomond with Loch Katrine.
