ArgyllGoat Fell
Arran is the largest of the islands in the Firth of Clyde. Its highest point being Goat Fell (2,866 ft) with Brodic Castle on the far side of the bay. Brodick Castle has had a varied history, the earliest building on the site having been ransacked by Viking invaders. The present Castle is very largely of eighteenth-century date and it is distinguished by having its own little harbour which was specially constructed for a visit paid by King Edward VII. |
