Indeed !! That may very well be the case but I couldn't possibly comment !! I have to confess that I do not use Girlfriends. They're not supported on this platform. (Incompatable with the hardware, you know.) I did try programming in Girlfriend once (well, more in the cut-down form of Girl, actually, the sort of program you can compile in twenty minutes and then forget what it was for) but it wasn't that satisfactory. Of course some people do go through different versions of Girlfriend, trying to find the best one. (I think ******[1] tried Girlfriend ***[2] and didn't find it too wonderful; possibly the in-built sound effects without the option to disable at the command line proved trying.) However once you find a Girlfriend that suits it's probably best to stick with it. It's very dodgy trying to run two versions of Girlfriend simultaneously, and even running them sequentially can prove problematic as later versions of Girlfriend can object to any earlier versions remaining around, in any format. Deletion of previous versions of Girlfriend can still leave incompatible Registry entries. This is not a problem with Girl. Girl can be run in very short spaces of time, and in multiple sessions provided they each have segregated memory space. However, when simultaneous versions of Girl conflict in memory access, problems can result. There is an optional program, which can help to resolve this by taking all input parameters addressed by Girl-process-name and outputting them with the address Darling-output-parameter. Anyway, what do I know about it all ? What I want is a user's guide to men.
