the heaven's gate cultists have shed their containers and joined up with the ufo hiding behind hale-bopp, but what do they do now? sure, they've gotten off the false path of homo sapien sapien corporal existence, but they've just landed on another false path. it's not a higher plane that they've gone to, it's just a different, equally useless, plane.
they made the classic mistake which 99% of human religions have made since the fall of high egypt (not the low egyptian builders of trivial stone architecture such as the pyramids and easter island heads, but the high egyptians who lived underwater 30k years ago and are responsible for the high levels of neutrino radiation which is still bombarding the earth, stalling human evolution and scaring away passing ufos). this mistake is not listenning to the most intelligent beings that we can access directly. these beings are plants, specifically orchids (cymbidia, for example).
is it an accident that "eden" was a "garden" and that knowledge came from the "tree of life"? or that buddha received enlightenment sitting under a bo tree? or that moses heard the voice of the lord from a burning bush? obviously, the power of plant intelligence has been appreciated since the first humans arose in africa, but it has been supressed, because most people have for a long time believed that orchids are too difficult to cultivate, let alone communicate with. this simply is not true! almost anyone can learn how to grow and commune with orchids and reap unimagined mental hygeine benefits.
