The above image has links to sections describing the best Ayrshire has to offer in terms of climbing. Not much really, but there are some decent routes at Loudon Hill.
Although technically in South Lanarkshire. This hill has much to offer, especially around the HVS and E1 grades. ukclimbing.com says "A magnificent landmark towering over the valley with three faces and many three star routes. Central Wall features the Edge (VS), a superb natural arete, offering huge exposure for the grade".
A slightly poorer climbing area, but with fantastic outlook over the firth of Clyde. Most routes low in the grade, after a 20 min trudge uphill. ukclimbing.com says " A great view and outlook over the Clyde coast with good sound rock.".
A homemade wall in Stewarton, about 8 feet wide with plastic and woodies. It has two main walls, a vertical (8 feet wide) and a varied overhang (12 feet wide). Made by Robbie and myself with contributions from Al Downie, Donald Cross and Bill Lawson. Great fun.

Chris Gibson leading off on pitch 1 of Agony, Etive Slabs (unknown climbers on The Pinch).......

.......Gibbo on pitch 3. The best route in the world!
