Staffordshire has a varied countryside from farmland, parkland, moorland to Country Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a wealth of walks for you to discover. Explore the wonderful network of footpaths in the Churnet Valley, Barlaston Downs, Maer Hills, the woods and moors of Cannock Chase, Kinver Edge and the many pretty villages linked together with paths that wander through fields and woods. Try walking the Staffordshire Way itself, from its start at Mow Cop in the north of the county right down to Kinver in the south. The Peak District National Park also includes some of the Staffordshire Moorlands in its territory and in fact the ever popular Dovedale is half in Staffordshire although it is often assumed to be Derbyshire!
