Learning To Swim with Redditch Swimming Club
Redditch Swimming Club offers a complete range of teaching and coaching from non-swimmers wishing to learn through to competitive swimming.
We take youngsters from the age of 4˝ and run beginners’ training sessions for younger swimmers to learn the basic techniques needed to swim the four strokes correctly. This important first stage of swimming is all about having a good time while learning to swim properly and confidently. The Club has adopted the National Teaching Plan for Swimming (NPTS) and swimmers will be progressed following the NPTS Skill Level Awards, as well as having the opportunity to gain distance badges.
With commitment and enthusiasm, swimmers should progress and be ready to enter our competitive development squad if they wish.
For younger non-swimmers we offer teaching at Woodrow First School's teaching pool. We have sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On each day there are three sessions starting at 4.30, 5.00 and 5.30pm. If you have young children (minimum age 4˝) who you would like to learn to swim or know of them please contact Diane Hill on 01527 459642
Following Woodrow and for older learners we offer width(7.00pm) and length(7.30pm) sessions at Hewell Road Pool on Wednesdays. If you or your children are interested in learning to swim come along to Hewell Road Pool at 7.00pm on Wednesday.
