RAF Museum, Hendon

Maxwell, Harriet and me visited the RAF Museum at Hendon on 30 May 2004. In comparison to the RAF Museum at Cosford that we visited in 2002, I was very impressed by the larger number of rarer WW2 exhibits, particularly the German examples in the Battle of Britain Hall. The museum is well worth a visit and admission is free. Here are some snaps focusing on WW2:

Boeing B-17G cockpit   Messerschmitt Bf109

Messerschmitt Bf110G-4/R6   Heinkel He111H-20

Bolton Paul Defiant 1   Bolton Paul Defiant 1 - gun turret

Focke Wulf Fw-190 (dual seater)   Junkers Ju 88 and Messerschmitt Bf109

Spitfire Mk.Vb   Junkers Ju 87 G-2 "Stuka"

Hawker Typhoon 1B
