La Maison Blanche is in a town called Baud, which is about 75 miles southwest of Rennes, heading towards the Atlantic coast.

Baud (population approximately 5,000) is in the Blavet Valley, close to the enchanting Comors Forest.  The lush countryside of the Blavet Valley is ideal for outdoor activities such as horse riding, walking, golf, fishing, and cycling.

A selection of small shops is about 2 minutes' walk from the house, as are several excellent restaurants and bars.  The larger nationwide supermarkets are just a short drive away.

There are many golf courses in the area, including a French championship course in Auray.  A sports complex and a swimming pool are just a short walk from the house.
