Marmion to Millennium A Celebration of Flowers Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, August 27th-30th 1999, the Ripon Flower Club presented "Marmion to Millennium", a Celebration of Flowers at St. Nicholas Church, West Tanfield. Inspiration for the Flower Festival came from the church of St. Nicholas itself. The age and style of the building, its connection with the Marmions and its strong community links were a starting point for the designers.
