What's New

There are many different Pantheons within Paganism.  The links below will take you to a brief description of some of the main ones.  But before we go there, it is important to ask why Pagans worship, pay homage to, or work with the Gods.  Unlike some other religions, this is not out of fear that if due reverence is not given to the Gods then some form of retribution or punishment will be enacted on them.  We do so because we love our Gods and enjoy it.  Why?  In those moments we draw nearer the ineffable, the profound mystery of the universe, the life force that sustains us all.  To draw nearer to this source is come like a thirsty man to a pool of cool, clean water.  We drink and every organ of our body absorbs the water and draws nourishment from it.  So too does our spirit drink, when we return to the great pool of the infinite which is our source.

We also worship or pay homage to the Gods because our views of life are very different from many of the value of Western Society.  Material well-being is not seen as the prime objective of life.  The material world is important - we ignore it at our peril - but material things alone will not satisfy our deepest needs.  For this, we must have spiritual sustenance and we must be linked with those forces who create and maintain the universe.  If we lose this link, we are orphans of the universe; separated forever from the Mother and Father of All.
