Tom Dalzell followed his essay on Braystones Beach in the 1930s and 40s with a further email containing several more photographs of the period, showing various beach bungalows. As you can see below, they're both evocative and informative:

Here is the beach just north of 'Latona' ('Plas Isa', Miss Davidson's bungalow, is at far right) in 1936- Tom Dalzell is the smallest of the children. Click here for a panoramic enlargement of the bungalows in the background.

Here's Mrs Dalzell etc. outside Miss Davidson's bungalow, 'Plas Isa' in 1943; Tom is second from left in the dark pullover. The picture below was taken a few yards away on the same day.
